This Event
We are going to host this annual event at the Clarion Hotel in Scranton.
We have both geared and raw divisions for High School and Collegiate Powerlifters.
We have a Bench Only division for lifter who compete in just the Bench
Press discipline. We have created this event, to be an annual event for
anyone who is interested in making that next step, with aspirations of
lifting at the USA Powerlifting HS or Collegiate National Championships.
Any Collegiate or High School athlete is welcomed, regardless of where
you live in the USA.
We will have National and International judges there, along with ER racks
used at all major USAPL National Championship Events. As in all USA Powerlifting
competitions we will be drug testing at least 10% of lifters for any performance
enhancing drugs.
Our Future
We are working on building a core of teams both at a High School and Collegiate
level to bring the NE USA Powerlifting back to life. We plan to not only
have many top HS / Collegiate Teams in the East Coast, but bring those
teams to National Championships to compete.
One of my major goals as a meet director is to again host Collegiate and
HS National Championships in the state of Pennsylvania. This is just the
start!
Thanks,
Steve Mann
