  • Bob Weir from Lake Norman Therapeutic Massage will be available to all athletes free of charge. Bob specializes in sports massage and will be available throughout the competition. This service is provided by USAPL North Carolina.

      Massage is complimentary, provided by USAPL North Carolina. Tips are appreciated.
  • Following each session we will be having a reps competition. Women will compete with 75% of their body weight, the athlete with the most reps will be the winner. Men in the weight classes 97 lb. - 132 lb.; 148 lb.-181 lb.; and 198 lb.-220 lb. will compete for the most reps using their body weights. Men in the 242 lb weight class and up will compete to see who can rep 225 lb. the most times. A sculptured trophy will be awarded to the winner of each session. Athlete's can sign up for this event at the registration table, there will be a $10.00 charge.

USAPL North Carolina is very excited to host the 2006 Bench Press Nationals in Charlotte, the Queen City. We have prepared many great things for this event and here are a few reasons why you should come compete in Charlotte. 

  1. Our event is going to be held in the McGlohon Theatre in the heart of Charlotte. Charlotte is a beautiful, clean, safe city where everything you could possibly need is within walking distance. Charlotte is also a big name city without the big name prices. www.visitcharlotte.com 
  2. The Omni Hotel is hosting our athlete’s. This high-class hotel has given us the discounted rate of $79.00 for a king or double room.   3. Core Gym is sponsoring our event. It is located in the lobby of the Omni Hotel. It has a great workout area, steam room, sauna and locker room. It is free to all athletes’ with extended hours for the steam and sauna rooms. People traveling with the athlete’s can get a pass for $10.00. 
  4. North Carolina Native, Paul Bossi is creating some awesome customized awards for this event. Titan Support Systems will be giving Katana swords to the best lifters of the meet. 
  5. Come join us for our After Party at Phil’s on Sunday evening. With Monday being Labor Day, make Charlotte a weekend get away and stay Sunday night. USAPL North Carolina will be hosting an After Party for the lifters and any of their friends and family.
